Crisis lines
- Lifeline: If you are feeling very upset or scared and need to talk to someone right away, you can call Lifeline. They are there to help you feel safe. Phone 13 11 14.
- A Tasmanian Lifeline: A free telephone support service providing non-judgmental, one-off or ongoing support to Tasmanians experiencing tough times, available from 8 am to 8 pm every day. Phone 1800 98 44 34
- Parent line: Offers twenty-four hours information and support for parents throughout Tasmania. The Parent Line is supported by Health Direct, and your calls will be answered by a health professional who will provide quality, approved health information and advice. Phone 1300 808 178.
- Stop It Now! Australia: If you are worried about someone else's behaviour towards children, you can find help on their website or call their hotline. They can help keep children safe. Their number is 1800 01 1800.
- Access Mental Health: Operated by skilled and experienced mental health professionals. Wherever you are in Tasmania, you will speak with someone who understands the Tasmanian mental health system and the mental health services available near you. 1800 332 388
- Suicide Call Back Service: A free nationwide service providing 24/7 phone and online counselling to people affected by suicide. Phone 1300 659 467
- Mental Health Integration Hub: The right door for people seeking help, providing short term practical mental health support, information and advice, support to navigate mental health services and other services in the community and referrals and connections to other services. - QLife: A service that provides free, anonymous, and confidential support for LGBTQIA+ people, available via phone or web chat. They are available from 3pm to midnight every day and can be contacted on 1800 184 527.

- National Disability Abuse and Neglect Hotline: A free, confidential service that allows anyone to report abuse or neglect of people with disabilities, providing support and referrals to appropriate authorities. Phone 1800 880 052 (Mon-Fri, 9 am to 7 pm). Email: hotline@workfocus.com.
- Elder Abuse Helpline: Where you can ask questions about someone who you think is being abused, if you think you might be unintentionally causing harm, and if you think you are being harmed, abused or taken advantage of. Ph 1800 441 169 9am-5pm Mon-Fri.

- Ask Izzy: Free, anonymous website that connects people in crisis with over 450,000 support services across Australia, including housing, food, financial help, family violence support, and counselling (online only).
- Disability Gateway: Assists all people with disability, their families and carers to locate and access services across Australia. Call 1800 643 787 (Mon-Fri, 8 am to 8 pm).
- Carers Gateway: Provides free services and support to carers, including counselling, financial assistance, and respite care. Call 1800 422 737 (24/7).

- Beyond Blue: Free, confidential support for individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts. Available 24/7, the helpline offers brief counselling sessions with qualified counsellors who can provide immediate assistance and guide callers to additional resources and support services. - Sexual Assault Support Service: A 24/7 free and confidential 24 hour crisis response and information/support service for people of all ages who have been affected by any form of sexual violence – whether now or in the past.
