Clare Waiss, member of the Tasmanian Disability Inclusion Advisory Council

Clare Waiss is a disability advocate, parent, and Co-Founder of Care Plus Management. As the mother of a child with a rare genetic condition and complex disability, she has spent many years navigating health, education and disability systems, giving her a deep understanding of the challenges faced by people with disability and their families.

Through both her lived experience and professional work, Clare advocates for greater inclusion, accessibility and equitable access to supports, particularly for children and families living in regional communities. She currently serves as Tasmania’s representative on the NDIS Reform Advisory Committee and regularly contributes to state and national discussions on disability policy and service reform.

Clare is passionate about ensuring the voices of people with disability, families and carers are heard in decisions that affect their lives.
